Thank you for the Follow up on the J. B. Speed Art Museum lecture. Sounds very interesting. I've been researching the watches owned by President Lincoln and this is the first time I seen information the watch at Speed Art Museum was Tiffany's. Just wish there was more information.

We are having a 150th Anniversary Celebration/Fundraiser of the Octagon Hall in Franklin, Ky. We were wondering if you would be interested in coming and being a guest speaker. You could also sell some books. Please let us know if you are interested and if you charge any fees. Thank you!

I am interested in hearing one of your lectures. If you were at the Morgans Row, then you saw my ancestors paintings. Mt great+ grandfather was Joseph Morgan.

I will check out your upcoming appearences and hope to make the time to attend!

First of all, let me say that this is a FANTASTIC web site and I am extremely impressed with you books about the Civil War in Kentucky. I am anxious to read them all!

My comment regards your article describing the murder of Bull Nelson by Jefferson Davis at the Galt House. I don't believe Bull brought things on himself because of his arrogant manner; he was unarmed and shot in cold blood by a man who hated him and very well may have been part of a conspiracy to get rid of him. That General Davis was never tried for his murder and was even returned to active duty is beyond me! The story of Bull Nelson is one every Louisvillian should read about in their history book! Our opinions may differ in what actually took place, but I thank you for telling it!

Thanks to you and others who research our past, the history of our city will remain alive! Thanks again!

My Dear Fellow Readers:

I want to personally thank Meade County Archaelogical Soceity and the citizens of Meade County for being such a great host. Gerald Fischer was my personal tour guide and led me to Sue Mundy's surrender site, the site where guerilla leader Capt. Bryant killed David Henry, and where Capt. Bryant was shot by the Coomes, and later died in what is now known as Captain Bryant's cave. Gerald Fischer is an expert when it comes to Meade County's Civil War history and I enjoyed our conversations during the day. I also want to thank the Meade County Messenger, the Meade County Online radio station, and WPPL. I could have not been more pleased at my reception. The audience asked very good questions after my lecture. Again, thanks for Meade County.
