New Book in the works
Today I finished my proposal for my new book project and will be sending it to History Press. Keep your fingers crossed and hopefully if all goes well, I will have another book for next year.

As many of you may know, the recent snow storm put a damper on my activities along with the rest of the community. I spoke with my publisher at the Kentucky Crafted Show today and he said the event was a ghost town. Hopefully with the nice weather tomorrow, the crowds will come out. Just to let those of you who are planning to go to the show, I will be there Sunday all day from noon until 5 P.M. Come by and say hi, and see my new books.
As they are now available, Butcher Burbridge and Lincoln and the Speeds can now be ordered through Bryan’s Store. They will also be available at this weekend’s Kentucky Crafted, future lecture and book signing events, and before long, in various brick-and-mortar stores.
It’s no longer tentative. Bryan’s new books Lincoln and the Speeds and Butcher Burbridge ARE going to be at Kentucky Crafted (Acclaim Press booth) Saturday and Sunday, March 8 and 9. Bryan has seen them himself today at Kentucky Crafted, which is today and Friday open only to “the trade” (company/org buyers and such). Bryan is very excited and told me both of the books look great.
Note: The books are still officially available for pre-orders through Friday evening. Get your signed *and* numbered copy before the switchover.
On edit: Added a mention of the booth where Bryan’s books can be found.
The Borders event has been confirmed for Friday, April 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the store located at Fourth Street Live! in downtown Louisville. Bryan will be signing his new book Lincoln and the Speeds. See Bryan’s Upcoming Appearances page for this listing, in addition to other upcoming events.
Also, Bryan has worked out a deal with Wide Awake Films to sell the new documentary The Battle of Perryville in his online store. The price of the DVD is $24.95.
On that note, Bryan has recently finished shooting a DVD tour of the Civil War Museum of the Western Theater in Bardstown, Kentucky (I’ll ask Bryan to talk more about it here soon). This will also become available for sale in Bryan’s store once post-production is complete.
Just got word from Borders that they would like me to do a booksigning on April 4, 5, or 6. I am hoping for April 4. Will fill everyone in on when the time is and the exact date.
With Bryan’s books Butcher Burbridge and Lincoln and the Speeds making their debut in March 2008, tentatively at the Kentucky Crafted show in Louisville on March 8, following are the press releases (in MS Word format) that go with each one:
