My Dear Fellow Readers:
Just a update. Looks like my book on Louisville During the Civil War will be out for Christmas. Eariler I said it could be June, but the publishers thought that the book would be a nice gift for all you Civil War buffs out there. You may notice that I do not have an article for this month the reason being that I have some REALLY strict deadlines to make for the Louisville book, but not to fear, come July I will continue to post articles.

My Fellow Readers:
I am really excited about my newest book: A Historic Tour of Louisville During the Civil War. The book will be published by History Press. The book will briefly discuss Louisville During the Civil War and will have a guided tour of the sites that you can visit in Louisville that still exist from the Civil War. The publication hopefully will be by June of this year.

My Fellow Readers,
Just a reminder that I will be signing my books Friday April 4, at Borders on 4th Street from 5 to 7 PM. There should be a huge turnout, since 800 history educators will be in town for a conference. As for my Destinations booksigning, the turnout was extremely light, I had only 12 people, but members of Locust Grove came to my signing and we had a good time discussing the history of the Croghan family and the Clarks. After the bookstore closed, I went to dinner with the members of Locust Grove and had a good time. Hope to see you at Borders.

Dear fellow readers,
I am getting quite a few new bookings and confirmation for other lectures and book signings. The Lincoln Boyhood Home has just confirmed my book signing for June 14 at 2:30 P.M. and The Lexington History Museum has booked me for a lecture on August 21 at 7:30 P.M. Looks like it is going to be a busy year! I got a email back from History Press Inc. They are defintely interested in my new book project, but they want to publish the book proposal in a series of books. We will see.

It’s just a reprint of the publisher’s book description from Amazon, but still, this is a well-produced blog that covers all Civil War book releases, and we think it’s cool.

On the books page on Bryan’s site are now links to where you can purchase Lincoln and the Speeds and Butcher Burbridge from either Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Note that these online stores don’t actually have the books in stock yet, so it would work like a pre-order. Of course, in Bryan’s store, the books are in stock and ready to ship today.
Also, in advance of Bryan’s March 29 appearance at Destinations Booksellers in New Albany and April appearances at Borders in Louisville (Fourth Street Live!) and Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington, books are being shipped to these stores. See Bryan’s event page for more details on these appearances. Meanwhile, from what I’m hearing, the books are being shipped to other stores and tourist venues, such as state parks.
