My Dear Fellow Readers:

I have added a new book signing for October. On October 6, at the Meade County Library at 6 PM I will be giving a lecture and book signing on Union General Stephen Gano Burbridge. Guerilla warfare ravaged Meade County and General Burbridge personally became involved in the executions of suspected guerillas for the guerilla activity in Meade County. I am also having a radio interview at 11 am that same day, so stay tuned for further developments. Also, Perryville has confirmed that I will be doing a lecture on Lincoln and the Speeds and a book signing at the Perryville Battlefield on Saturday Oct. 11 at noon.

  1. My Dear Fellow Readers:

I want to personally thank Meade County Archaelogical Soceity and the citizens of Meade County for being such a great host. Gerald Fischer was my personal tour guide and led me to Sue Mundy’s surrender site, the site where guerilla leader Capt. Bryant killed David Henry, and where Capt. Bryant was shot by the Coomes, and later died in what is now known as Captain Bryant’s cave. Gerald Fischer is an expert when it comes to Meade County’s Civil War history and I enjoyed our conversations during the day. I also want to thank the Meade County Messenger, the Meade County Online radio station, and WPPL. I could have not been more pleased at my reception. The audience asked very good questions after my lecture. Again, thanks for Meade County.
